Feng Shui Tips for Fall

September 20, 2018 by Belinda Mendoza Leave a Comment

Fall is here and with a new season comes new opportunities!

Autumn carries more gold in its pocket than all the other seasons. – Jim Bishop

Not only does the season bring beautiful hues of orange, red and yellow, but it also brings so many wonderful opportunities to connect with nature. Cool air, relaxing walks and cozy nights by the fireplace are all moments that should be truly appreciated. It’s the perfect time for new intentions that can be placed in spaces where you often walk for daily reminders about what it is you want to achieve.

Feng Shui plays a big part in bringing your house up to par for new beginnings. The nature that fall brings symbolizes a renewed energy that can be placed throughout your home or office. A golden glow begins to take place in both your life and what surrounds you.

Here are a few tips for good tidings of comfort and joy:

Pumpkins

Display plump pumpkins in your foyer, on the dining table or living room because in feng shui they are often regarded as an item that brings wealth and good fortune.

Color

Play on the orange and red that surrounds you and use it to your advantage! Implement shades of orange for socializing with friends and family. Orange decor works well for gathering and seasonal celebrations. Red represents high energy and prosperity which are good for health and money.  Use at or around the front door where energy often originates with ribbons, wreaths, pots or other decors. Yellows and browns bring a sense of relaxation to your space for cozy nights in.  It is a grounding color.

Household Plants

As cold air approaches, we naturally become inclined to stay indoors more. When decorating your home, be sure to include a few household plants to help circulate fresh and clean air. This is not only good for your health but great for the energy that you surround yourself with. It’s also a great way to remove harmful toxins and purify the air for a pleasant breathing space with loved ones.  Place in kitchen, bathroom, or home offices.  Do not place in bedrooms as they add energy where we are trying to slow it down to sleep.

Host a Gathering

Spending time with family and friends is good for your wellbeing and it’s a great way to stop and appreciate all you have. A way to relieve yourself from stresses that work may cause and recharge with laughs and joy. There are many upcoming reasons to celebrate and setting the table with food and drinks is the start to an evening of lighthearted fun.  Use even numbered dining chairs and a round or oval table for family harmony.

Enjoy the Outdoors

Cozy up in a new cardigan and explore the outdoors with a short stroll through a park or time with your furry friends. The sun is sure to be out from time to time to take full advantage and soak up the Vitamin D while listening to the fall sounds like birds chirping, wind blowing and leaves falling. The small sounds of summer ending can relax and destress any tension you may have!

Feng Shui for Money

August 20, 2018 by Belinda Mendoza Leave a Comment

Greater prosperity. More abundance. Improved wealth.

Regardless of how you say it, feng shui plays a large role in a prosperous future. The money-home connection must be in pristine condition for this to happen.

Is your home set up for success? Is your business seed planted for growth?

Let’s explore some options:

MIRRORS

When placed at the right angles, mirrors reflect the success that you want to see. Use mirrors to your advantage by using them with care and dedication. Above all, don’t place mirrors to face your bed.

CLUTTER

We hear it all the time, but clutters blocks energy. Spaces of mess and disorder create a sense of recklessness – much of which doesn’t lead to profits. Clean homes and offices leave more room for abundance to flow.

DECOR

Some of the tools used for success… Plants, harmonious colored walls, beautiful art, water fountains, wealth ships or a collection of seashells all in the “right place”. This creates the vision board of your life! These are the faces to your abundance. A powerful image of wealth is the use of fish. Whether it’s an aquarium or a painting, fish like Koi inspire a sense of wealth.

Design for Energy is here to help achieve your aspirations of wealth. Contact us today so we can fine-tune these apps for your individual energy, space, and intentions.  Call us today for a complimentary 60-minute money making phone session.

“I had immediate proof after hiring Belinda . Creating A Success-Filled Hotel Room

September 11, 2017 by Belinda Mendoza 1 Comment

Heading out for a vacation or business and staying in a hotel? Traveling season is quickly approaching and the holiday season can occasionally make hotel rooms our home away from home. Make it the best it can be by setting up your hotel for success!

Work can be stressful but add travel to it, and it can increase significantly. I did whatever I could to lower my stress so I had a more enjoyable and efficient trip. I traveled extensively for over 20 years when I worked in pharmaceutical and medical device sales. I was on planes and cars traveling from place to place almost every week. This often meant staying in one to three hotels a week. Most of my friends thought I had a glamorous job. Although I did enjoy it in the early years, as each city was a new adventure, traveling always presents many challenges.

For example, it often means spending countless hours immersed in high electromagnetic fields. Airports literally hum with them, as do the aircraft. These energy fields can be extremely debilitating, draining our bodies of chi, and causing headaches, irritability, depression, and insomnia.

Couple this with time-zone changes, and we end up with the classic jet lag experience. Being blessed with good health, I didn’t become aware of the harmful effects of electromagnetic fields until rather late in my career, when I began to study the art of Feng Shui.

Reduce your exposure to EMFs by unplugging all unnecessary electronics like coffeemakers and alarm clocks. Taking these preventative measures and charging phones away from your bed not only helps the planet from harmful energy loads, but it also makes you feel healthier. EMFs are electromagnetic fields that are invisible areas of energy associated with electrical power and man made lighting.

If you are sensitive to EMFs, depending on the level of frequency, you may experience symptoms including:

  • Fatigue, stress, or sleep disturbances
  • Rashes
  • Pains and aches in your muscles
  • Foggy thinking or depression, among others

However, I learned there is a device to prevent jet lag that one can wear like a piece of jewelry. I found that wearing it prevents jet lag, no matter how many time zones I fly through. Now, they make such devices for cellphones and laptops, which I use! Ask me about these if interested.

Hotel rooms present another travel challenge! Even the highest-rated can be filled with dead, stale chi and energy from prior guests. If it’s a large hotel, you also contend with being sandwiched between other rooms and the energies of other occupants. Add this energy and  the sharp angles of some furniture,  bathroom chi, electromagnetic fields, noise, and it’s no wonder so many people dislike travel.

So, what can you do? First, clear the room energetically, using whatever means you prefer to get a fresh start. In basic Feng Shui, you can use tassels to compensate for cutting edges, crystals to adjust chi flow, and you can rearrange the furniture to achieve a more harmonious environment. Check for electromagnetic fields and correct for these. For example, put your alarm clock on opposite side of bed, rather than next to your head.

Once I had completed the above steps, I would light native american sage, say a prayer or mantra, and visualize the space filled with white light energy. If I was staying for an extended period of time, I would write on a piece of paper the intent of my stay, what I wanted to experience and accomplish while I was there, and then I’d put the paper in a red envelope and place it on my bedside table.  An alternate area for it is under your pillow, close to where we manifest our dreams.

If you travel, whether for business or pleasure, it’s good to use Feng Shui principles to make your stay more comfortable. Fortunately, many hotels today have become “Feng Shui friendly” and if you look, you can find ones that advertise they are.

You can also spot one yourself by looking for a well-placed front door and a welcoming atmosphere. Bonus! If staying for more than one night, bring a small bamboo plant. Bringing nature indoors helps keep us grounded and it also relieves the air of toxins.

If you frequent just one chain of hotels as I did when I traveled, the rooms begin to look identical, no matter where you are. As I began my study of Feng Shui I learned I could enhance my room, my travel experiences, and my Feng Shui luck by taking several small items I could use to personalize my hotel room.
