Its June 2013 and I have heard from some clients recently that business is slow. Could be people focusing on kids getting out of school, planning vacations, taking vacations
, etc. It doesn’t really matter. Business is not meant to be a constant surge. You would burn out. The universe is a perfect working system that allows for ebbs and flows on purpose! Now if your business has not been good for awhile there may be other issues effecting you.
We panic when the phone doesn’t ring or the pages on our calendar are all white! This is not a time to worry but to take a different action. Slow times can signal shifts and changes that are occurring. It gives us time to recharge our batteries, clear out clutter, get our ducks in a row for the next SURGE.
5 Power Tips To Keep Business Flowing and Money Coming In While Business May Be Slow:
1) Energize your Marketing. Run a new campaign with some specials to entice new clients. “Through August receive a discount…”
2) Enhance your Communication. Stay in touch with current clients by sending out a summer newsletter with key tips; Starting a Blog or Posting regularly on the one you have; Create a Business Page on Facebook where you share resources and information.
3)Increase Your Visibility. Attend more networking meetings you have not had time to do because you were so busy. Offer to give talks at groups and share your wisdom and expertise. This will give you a chance to be in front of potentially new business.
4)Update Your Marketing Materials. Make sure your business cards and website are up to date, current, and reflective of who you are and what service you provide. Add new videos, articles.
5) Ask For Referrals. If we don’t ask , we don’t get. Ask those clients who you have served well if they would be so kind as to send you a referral between now and August. Offer to give them a referral fee or a free “mini” service.
So you see, you have lots of work to do. No time to fret about not having business. These things along with getting the clutter off your desk, will energize the stagnation going on in your business. If you already have good feng shui, it will boost your efforts in ways you didn’t expect.
